I think the USA is plenty flawed, but on this one I’d have to agree with them. Would be way to easy to disqualify your opponent (especially as an incumbent president) otherwise. You should be able to let voters disqualify your opponent on merit.

Shouldn’t you be able to get it in in at least some states via ballot measures, from where you can use it to send better people to DC to implement it federally?
It’s already in some states. Alaska has implemented it I believe and Nevada passed the vote for it once but still needs to vote again this year on it to switch over.
