I’ve always found the Uncharted 4/The Last Of Us/God of War 2018 to all be decent, but all those games are kinda lacking in imteresting gameplay and are basically the video game equivalents of “Oscar bait”
I’ve never joved with any fallout game. Tried em multiple times. Always board within an hour. Just so bored. I rpgs with immersive world’s and places to explore. I like the fallout setting. I should like it but somehow it’s always a trudge through mud for me to play those.
I agree with everyone who said fighting games in general. I hate that they’re so engrossing and engaging and have so many different aspects you can study to improve on that they make it difficult to play other genres once you get into them. It creates this myopic fixation that is honestly endemic of late stage capitalist atomization and commodity fetishism (defining oneself by ones consumption, etc and sho on) which I find really unhealthy. Plus the embodied labor of the developers of other genres is indirectly exploited by the fighting gamer when they inevitably neglect those other genres, which erodes class solidarity and furthers false consciousness among the populace.
When someone talks about “counting frames” for fighting game meta, I’m out. :spongebob-party:
Frame data fan: noooooo you’re minus 5 there, why would you preeeeess :wojak-nooo:
Playing on intuition enjoyer: damn, I hit the guy. fuckin tight. :gigachad:
Morrowind
Too much jank even for 2001, at a minimum you need a mod to reduce the number of cliff racers and reduce stamina drain when running
Also it’s too easy to min-max to the point where you can kill almost everything in 2 hits or less, and scavenge to the point where you have effectively unlimited money, in less than 10 hours
DISCO ELYSIUM
Excruciatlingly long exposition dumps of half-baked “philosophy” combined with lackluster gameplay does not make a good game! I really wanted to like this game but the writing is the epitome of pseudointellctualism.
