        During that 6 hour spiel at the Constitutional Convention, he described the president as an executive similar to a king that was elected for life. Hamilton was radically progressive for his time, but he still had a soft spot for a highly powerful executive.

      Nah, Jefferson was the one who was looking west super hungrylike.

      He just said a lot of pretty words about presidential light touch because it would make it less likely a president would interfere with him being a slave oligarch on top of being an imperialist.
