Just got on my second period of vacation this summer, another two weeks of being off work during summer.
Had a date night with my wife while the kids are out of town.
Tomorrow I’m doing a take home assignment to hopefully land a job. Been out of work for about 4 months now. Nailed the first interview pretty well and this is the tech interview part. I vastly prefer it to hacker rank and leet code, but it’s a lot of work to put in if I don’t get the job.
Hosted a game night with friends, now just drinking a beer on my porch

After 6 months of medical related delays, today I have session 0 for a Shadowrun 5e campaign that I’m GMing for and excited to start. We have a few newbies to help get up to speed with the system, but I’m ecstatic to finally have another game going after a few years of absolutely none.
Sitting with a grumpy stray cat at 3am waiting for animal rescue while I scare off the coyote that attacked him 🙃
Wish rabies wasn’t a thing so I could safely take him in myself :(
For the last few hours I’ve been driving around looking at garage sales. Nothing much so far
Just got finished helping my mom put up some new paintings for the stairs and hall. I picked out the paintings and I think we’ve done a great job at making everything look so much more colourful! 😃
Hopefully finishing the paint job on my latest model and starting the build process.
Just got home from an impromptu night of camping out at the lake. Did a few hours sailing in decent winds this morning. I am now sun-drenched, sweat-soaked, and exhausted, but feeling good.
