An article in Norwegian about the basement of the Oslo record store where the history of black metal began
Is there an English translation? Also, the design of that site is pure cancer.
Swede here, like most Swedes I can sort of read Norwegian.
This basement contains a unique collection of black metal music on vinyl, and has even been a travel destination for black metal fans all over the world, earning them the nickname “blackpackers”.
Due to a fire started by old electrical wiring and a knee deep flood the collection has suffered badly.
There are images of melted vinyl records after the fire, and modly record sleeves after the flood.
There are efforts to preserve the remaining records, but resources are scarce.

I think the design is great actually, because it emphasizes things better.
Yes I too liked that way of telling the story with pictures. Maybe it doesn’t work or look good on every browser. It’s perfect on Smartphones though.
I thought it’s common knowledge to use Google translate for websites.
