    OCR is “optical character recognition”. You give a photo of text (like the ones that you posted) to a computer program, and it prints out the text.

    If you’re on Linux, a good OCR program is Tesseract. I’ve personally used it to turn scans of old manuals into searchable PDFs, but it also can just print out the recognized text as plain text.
