    I donā€™t struggle with autism, society does.

    So long as iā€™m allowed to do what i want i can use coping mechanisms and youā€™ll barely notice my autism, iā€™ll just look like a ā€œnormalā€ but eccentric guy with weirdly specific preferences. But if you prevent me from taking care of myself iā€™ll start behaving stereotypically autisticly, because iā€™m feeling really fucking uncomfortable.

    I think this is a big part of why so many people with autism nowadays seem ā€œnormalā€, because weā€™ve been able to figure out how we need to take care of ourselves and our environments largely allow us to do so.
    If we started tying people to chairs and tazing them then yeah no fucking shit theyā€™d start screeching and stop being able to talk, what a fucking piece of quantum physics that is to figure outā€¦
