Honestly thought it was going to be DC Fontana demanding more progressiveness and biting commentary.
She deserves to be called Dorothy. She used the initials because she wouldn’t be able to get any writing jobs as a woman with an obvious woman’s name. DS9 actually made some commentary on this with Nana Visitor’s pulp writer character in Far Beyond the Stars. She was an obvious reference to Dorothy.

Though I groked the reality of Kira’s alter ego in FBtS, I didn’t realize she was suppose to be a reference to Fontana. Been putting off a compete franchise rewatch for a long while now, guess I need to get into it.
I’m not sure why you think I’m upset. I’m saying she deserves the respect she never got in life.
