I would see that as bait. Like really odd.
my first instinct is to assume they’re using Ukrainians from occupied territories as meat shield
But why? Anyone can translate?

Here is the translation to English: (mistral-small-24b-instruct-2501)
Russians are sacrificing their fellow Russians to Ukraine’s “Baba Yaga”! In these footage, soldiers from the 144th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian Armed Forces tie a misbehaving comrade to a tree, leaving him as an offering for Ukrainian drones of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade to kill at night.
Earlier in an interview (https://youtu.be/lbn8FOG3Xs4), Andrey Borodin, commander of the 60th Separate Mechanized Brigade which defends the village of Terny in Donetsk region, daily grinding opponents from the 144th Guards Motor Rifle Division of the Russian Armed Forces into dust. Now there is documentary evidence from aerial reconnaissance of the 60th brigade. (https://t.me/OMIBr_60)
Real human sacrifice, something that hasn’t even been shown in war movies before.
The war will continue until the last Russian soldier; Russian commanders will kill everyone who refuses to go on a meat assault
So it sounds like he didn’t want to go into the meat grinder so they tied him to a tree as punishment
Which makes me wonder the fate of this poor donkey who also didn’t want to go into the meat grinder
My naive, optimistic guess is that they really don’t want the Ukrainian forces to summarily execute him from a distance, and so many Russian soldiers have faked surrenders over the past 2 years that they figure anything less than taping this man’s arms around a tree will just get this guy killed.
Interesting idea, but i dont think they would help him surrender unless they wanted to themselves. Maybe im just too pessimistic about the compassion of russian soldiers tho.
