I’m curious as to what your definition of Tankie is.
Supporters of Chinese, North Korean, and Russian (formerly USSR) authoritarianism. They run astroturf communities where they pretend to be anarchists or they claim to support Palestine but in reality they just want to radicalize people and promote insurgency in the west. They use dogwhistles like “oppose capitalism” when capitalism just means western nation.
Not to say every anarchist community is, just this one specifically. This community is a Tankie community. It is run by Tankies for Tankies.

How is pretending to be an anarchist to trick other people into becoming anarchists functionally different from just being an anarchist?
Tankies are not anarchists, they support the Chinese and Russian dictatorships.
But what you’re alleging is that they’re pretending to be anarchists to get people to oppose capitalism, right?
Only in the sense that “capitalism” means “the Government of a Western Nation.” Since you really need me to walk you through this: if you let Tankies dictate your actions, you will not end up in a stateless society. You will end up in a war-torn authoritarian state.
But actual anarchists also oppose governments of Western nations. If the alleged tankies are only fomenting anarchist sympathy rather than arguing in favor of dictatorships, then what’s the difference? Are you trying to say that we can’t get rid of Western capitalism until we take down the Chinese government first?
