As in, what region is where every characteristic of the country is played up as much as possible, like a microcosm of the whole nation?

    Queensland.

Australia’s petridish of stereotypes ranging from gap-toothed Dundee wannabees, sun-burnt tourists, an ulcer of a beach-resort capital, and a baked-in inferiority complex.

    Wait, I think that’s closer to Florida…

Yeah, I feel like Florida and Queensland have a lot in common. We don’t have as many states though, so there’s bound to be some blending.

Well Munich is a city and not a state, so hard to compare to Texas. However the state of which it is the capital (Bavaria) can in many ways be compared to Texas as it is rather conservative and rural in many parts.

That said Munich itself is actually quite progressive and open.

Case in point regarding politics: On a local level the major has almost always been from the SPD (social democrats, the last conservative one was in the early 80s), and in the last federal election the green party actually got the most votes (compared to the overall result for Bavaria where the conservative CSU won with a wide margin)

Nuevo León, specifically Monterrey, México. It’s basically like Texas, and they are aamof very close to actual Texas. They have this hyperindustrialist mindset. The state wanted BAD to be the place that hosts the next Tesla manufacturing plant, even when they struggle periodically for water.

EDIT: And they got their Tesla business.

Humourless gits who hate any vague criticism of the area, think they ae better than anyone else and should be an independent country? Sounds about right.

I would have said Birmingham area myself. Doesn’t help that the accent makes them all sound thick as shit.
