Yes the caulked it as well.
As someone who has spent 3 years gut-renovating a house and has seen some shit… This is pretty fucking bad lol.
This house is a “awww fuck it” repair dream house.
As long as they used caulk, it’s safe. Also acceptable:
- Bandaids
- Soap
- Flash paper
- Oil-soaked rags
- Matches
- Spit
- Over-tightening the wire nuts and screws, and then patting the outlet or switch and saying “that’ll do it!”
Also acceptable, hopes and praisers.
Hmm…. that just looks unsafe.
It’s the anti break in light. Attached to the door next to it. Grab the handle and ride the lightning.
That’s quite a caulk-up.
Gotta make sure it stays put.
I have a horrible visual reconstruction. What am I looking at here? Did they rip out part of a stud, rip off the back of the box, toenail the box into the hole in the stud, and then caulk the box? Because it kinda looks like it’s on top of something wooden, in front of something wooden, and then toenailed on both sides into… something.
They were thinking outside the box.
The one trick insurance inspectors don’t want you to know
