    As long as they used caulk, it’s safe. Also acceptable:

    • Bandaids
    • Soap
    • Flash paper
    • Oil-soaked rags
    • Matches
    • Spit
    • Over-tightening the wire nuts and screws, and then patting the outlet or switch and saying “that’ll do it!”

    I have a horrible visual reconstruction. What am I looking at here? Did they rip out part of a stud, rip off the back of the box, toenail the box into the hole in the stud, and then caulk the box? Because it kinda looks like it’s on top of something wooden, in front of something wooden, and then toenailed on both sides into… something.
