    Didn’t they already do this, like, 25-30 years ago something like that? and wasn’t it a massive flop?

      You’re thinking of Saturday Live, which made Ben Elton and Harry Enfield marquee names having been in off-camera roles previously, and featured early TV appearances from Craig Ferguson, Fry & Laurie, Patrick Marber, Chris Barrie and Craig Charles amongst others. It was not a failure.

    Phar OUT!

    After 50+ years they are just now doing SNL spin offs.

    I guess the vast amount of SNL movie failures is what deterred more spin offs.
