First playthrough: black knife and blasphemous blade. Took hours. Had to use the summon and mimic tear.

Second playthrough: fingerprint shield, antspur rapier. Took literally 5 minutes.

    Sometimes you gotta fight smarter.

Some of the best ER players I know eventually gave up and cheesed release patch Consort. It’s not a good kind of difficult.

Maybe it’s better after they adjusted the timing on his roll catching attack, I haven’t played it.

I did that in reverse. My first playthrough was taking forever, and eventually I switched to a greatshield and spear to beat it.

I worried that I made it too easy and didn’t truly learn the fight, so my second playthrough was naked with the hand-to-hand combat weapons. It was hard, but fun.

I’ve seen dozens of people stand up for PCR as “not that hard” or “not unfair,” but I think you’re the first person I’ve ever seen describe the fight as fun 😂 !

It has to be some sort of tradition that any boss, no matter how difficult they make it, will have people saying “Oh him? He was easy!”

Radahn was hard, even punishing, but I really enjoyed learning the fight.

This was me with Fire Giant. I schooled him with a bleed build on my 2nd try, Im typically terrible at souls games too. I had NO idea what anyone was talking about when they called out that fight as being hard.
