(Day 5 and I am in constant unremitting pain. I went to the ER last night and the only thing they could give me was Tylenol 3 and recommend I get an extraction of my two wisdom teeth immediately. If anyone is able to please, please help. I don’t want to lose my job over this and can’t stand being in constant agony.)
(Day 4 of this and I can hardly sleep or do anything right now. This is complete madness. I just want this to end soon and go back to work.)
(Reposted from yesterday. The pain is so bad that I’ve been laid out in bed and had to call out of work this morning. I can’t believe how bad this is.)
It genuinely pains me to have to be back on here again so soon after I was so graciously helped last time, but I don’t know where else to turn.
Work has been going great and I am finally able to cover my rent without worry this month. But I’ve hit a huge snag this past week as I’ve developed excruciating tooth pain on the left and right sides of my upper teeth.
After a consultation at the local dentist they said I had severe decay of my wisdom teeth on those two sides and need to be extracted.
The giant problem is that I absolutely can’t cover the cost they quoted me, which is a staggering $625 since my insurance doesn’t cover it, and still cover my rent this month. I wish I could just wait it out but the pain is so bad that I can’t even do my job. I was sent home by my manager yesterday because he saw how bad it was and how I could barely function at doing simple tasks. Even typing out this post is incredibly hard. I hate to have to ask here for help again so soon but this is threatening my job if I can’t figure something out asap. If anyone can please help me out I couldn’t thank you enough.
Thanks again, comrades <3

the ER didn’t bother to give you antibiotics did they? did they check for infection? i’m worried that your pain levels indicate infection. i’m no doc, but once had an infection in my wisdom tooth, a terrible pain no pills could relieve. i ended up suffering the ministrations of probably the worst student at the local dental school (a terrible experience that still shakes me in the dentists chair) but still got lucky compared to my friend.
he died from sepsis ignoring his toothache too long. My man called in “with the flu” one day, and like two days later he was dead.
sorry if i scared you, please continue to take this very seriously.
Yeah, they gave me Amoxicillin luckily. But the Tylenol 3 does fuck all for the pain, although I’d most likely have refused any opiates even if they did offer because I can’t stand the high from them. No, you’re good, I know how dangerous this can be, not a lot of people know that. That’s why I’m hoping I can get in to the dentist soon :/
