What I see in the former eastern bloc countries is that the liberal pro-western parties went full zionist and since the left basically died, the only organisations critisizing Israel are rabid fascists (people who are actual anti-semites).
Also most online liberals have the thought process of: ‘I’m a liberal, which means I’m smart, which means my first instinct is correct, which the only reason anyone disagrees with me is that they’re stupid.’ Many people who support the new opposition to Fidesz have basically the same opinions on rome, Israel, prisoners, and the homeless, their only problems is that Orbán is fat and ugly, and in younger spaces supporting Fidesz is basically equivavelnt to being dumb. (Which is correct, but for different reasons.)
That guy was part of multiple far right groups (Republikaner, Pro NRW) for years and joined Die Linke after things didn’t work out with the other fascists.
