I already use LibreWolf, so i’m not too worry by the FireFox integration, but i was bored to manually disable the DuckDuckGo AI results each time. This helped quite a bit. You can also check the GitHub page below where the developer explain how it works.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/disable-ai/
https://github.com/jruns/disable-ai
In alternative you can also make noai.duckduckgo.com as your default search engine.

Does it just hide it or actually disable it? One still uses energy.
Or just use Searxng
You can also bookmark noai.duckduckgo.com if you don’t want to install an addon
Does lite.duckduckgo.com also has no AI? I like the only text results?
Or you could make it your default search engine
Unless you’re still a Linux baby and don’t have the time to figure out why your native installed firefox doesn’t give you permission to add a custom search engine.
Doesn’t DDG send all search data to Bing nowadays?
It always has that’s how it works
You can also make noai.duckduckgo.com as your default search engine.
replace your default search shortcuts in Firefox:
You can also use www.udm14.com to remove AI search from Google search results if you so choose.
Thanks!
If you cared at all about staying away from ai, you wouldn’t be using Firefox.
Out of curiosity. What flavor of chromium browser did you use?
Librewolf, the best chromium browser.
Not really https://thisvsthat.io/chromium-vs-librewolf
Sarcasm escapes you.
Wait, what! Where did that bastard go!

People are lazy and Google search has been garbage for a while now. I doubt this will happen to any significant degree.
Good news isn’t allowed on Lemmy. I was almost feeling good about this! Your comment saved me!
The good news we desire would be you exiting through a door frame never to return.
…do you think reading my username and then using a word from it to create an insult makes you clever?
There’s nothing I can say that will make you look more pathetic than your actual comment. Except maybe that .ml on the end of your username.
