People have been buying emergency tools to not get trapped in their cars for literal decades!
They have ones that will (theoretically) shred the seatbelt. My mother in law insisted we get them for our pre-owned Buick twenty years ago.
For similar reasons, too. Fear of not being able to get the door open… Because stories started filling the news about people dying in car emergencies.

Although with how Tesla is it wouldn’t surprise me if elon personally intervened to make sure the windows couldn’t be shattered by the standard window breaker tools. So I’d also keep a baseball in the glovebox just in case
I mean, the Cybertruck does have ‘bullet resistant’ windows… they’ll break, they just won’t break away.
This was always so stupid. It’s just like how the car doesn’t have a crumple zone. The crumple zone and the windshields breaking in a particular fashion isn’t because they’re poorly designed, it’s literally for safety reasons. Removing that makes the vehicle less safe.
He doesn’t care though, because it’s all about cool.

Tesla should have to buy every owner a tool, enough people have died being trapped in a Tesla the only reason it hasnt been mandated is because Elon dismantled every agency that monitored his businesses.
Tesla should have to recall every vehicle with this type a door handle and replace it at no cost to the owner such that they can escape from being burned alive trapped in the car.

Is it not widely recommended to have tools to escape your car via for instance the window anyway? I thought that was a normal thing to have in your car.
