Had “Antifa” in my username and they gave me a 7 day ban, for glorifying violence. Its crazy how much hate I would get on account of my username in multiplayer games but I never really cared, nor am I that upset over a suspension but I was usually under the auspices that usually platforms warn you about names not a strict suspension

I always thought it was funny that if you try to change the weapon loadout names in CoD away from “Assault” and then decide you didn’t actually want to change the name, you can’t keep the word “Assault” because it has the word “ass” in it. It isn’t even player-facing.

The Battlefield series does mostly sidestep this as per middle eastern people specifically. I mean not that it’s good or anything but if I exclude the MP modes that have you free to pick sides the issue only really comes up in Battlefield 3 where you’re fighting the Iranians, albeit explicitly a terror cell to separate them from normal iranians and it turns out it’s all 4d chess by a lebanese ex-child-soldier ex-GRU turned CIA operative that wants to exact revenge on the west and manages to blow up the NYC Subway, nuke Paris and only fail at also nuking NYC.

Battlefield 4 just picks China (again with the distinction of evil coup terror cell vs. normal chinese people)

If you’re interested, “under the auspices (of)” means “under the guidance/protection of,” like “The research was conducted under the auspices of the university.” It looks like you might have been going for “under the impression,” especially since you say “that” after.
But I’m of course not saying how you should speak, just mentioning common meanings.
I’ve only heard it used in the context I’ve used it.
It can also mean an omen, which might be how you’ve seen it, but still doesn’t really fit here.
Hitlerite names are completely A-okay on the other hand. They don’t need to wokewash capitalism anymore. I am surprised ubisoft hasn’t stopped doing it.
Are they though? There’s an overstrict set of bans for names on BF6, leading people to get banned for all sorts of names that were often accidental. I’m sure Nazi dogwhistles can get through but I don’t think it’s a conscious decision.

Thanks I went and listened to boy George a little, like pbbbbt 10 years ago. Also apt because sometimes I come off as a wrecker because I’m at my core at times, pretty reactionary, however I still strive to be better at my posting than when under Anne Teefa and later Hexbeara… It’s all in my intro. But y’all are why I’ll never leave the left.
Stepping away when things are hard and simply not posting is usually the better option.
Contact support about it. Be professional and courteous in the messages (that means no maoist standard english) so they can be screenshot. See what they respond with.
Depending on how they respond it might make for some interesting screenshot content or agitation material. Or it might be boring and they just reverse it.
I fully expect shit like this to be thrown into a trash can and ignored, my ban is set to expire and I’ve already changed my name, but they werent even forthcoming with what exactly caused the ban which is what I asked for clarification for. I do want my god damn treats that I can actually play with friends.
