      Cool guy doing good work. It’s worth noting that that point specifically is a losing battle though, because no citizen is going to get something bigger than a tank and feds certainly don’t have that limitation. That’s why self-defense patrols need to be complimented by labor organizing, because one limitation the feds do have that the people don’t is that it’s the other of the two camps making all their shit and providing the material basis for what they’re doing.

      Also even just from a warfare perspective the main thing is guerilla tactics exploiting the asymmetry of the situation by straining enemy resources, not somehow exceeding the enemy’s firepower. I can anticipate some understandable objection to my complaint, but given that he was inclined to tell us about his assault shotgun in the same breath, I don’t think I’m in the wrong for taking him at least a little literally on that part.

      But I do think it’s really great that we don’t just have a resurgence of the BPP, which is already really something, but that they’re rallying around protecting the immigrant communities specifically. That’s very good news.

        you’re confusing strategy and tactics i think. if i have an ak and you have a glock that’s generally a problem for you in the moment unless you have an incredible situational advantage. The tanks or close air support don’t have a chance to come into it.

        once you’re mechanized it starts being about having enough ordinance for the target, and you can fuck up armor with hand munitions as we see sometimes from the heroes in Palestine or both sides’ drones in ukraine.

        at some point in the strategic layer it’s about having something bigger again, but WWII era “total war” doctrine hasn’t really survived nukes and i don’t think the BPP is worried about carpet bombing anything.
