the site often doesn’t load or takes 10 seconds to load. i suspect the server suffers from heavy scraping. i would recommend some anti-scraping measures. maybe Anubis as feddit.org is already using. according to reports, it works well for them. link (Abschnitt: “Änderungen am Bot-Schutz”)
oh, sometimes lemmy-ui needs a restart, usually the first 504 from the monitoring would be the signal for me but i didn’t notice this in a while - i was actually just wondering about it. will check on it asap, matrix is unrelated
edit: restarted. and indeed here and there i am already deploying anubises - just not too happy to seemingly have to do one instance per domain - even if i can update them using watchtower and have them share a configuration file… even lost track a little about where i have put them already lol
Just noticed their matrix server just went down too.
Do you mean the website or also the app? Because the app usually loads fast for me. I only sometimes have problems with pictures from other instances and very rarely with the load times in general.
yeah i meant the website. i think it’s the website and not the app API because when the website is already open, stuff like upvoting, sending comments etc. which is API stuff is fast. just page (html) load time is slow.
