      I’m pretty sure that the mouth is behind the beak.

      I think that what’s unusual is just that the mandibles on an antlion are above the mouth, and on this creature, they’re well below. Well, actually, I think that most of the difference is that they’re pointing down, rather than forward. The attachment point isn’t actually that low.
