I am a German DevOps engineer, handyman, baker, ailurophile.
For family use in my case, via docker compose on a Nas. But currently we only / mainly sync multiple calendars, personal contacts for each member. Additionally we utilize nextcloud to sync new photos and keepass files from phones to personal folders of the Nas. Aside that we don’t use any apps as the Nas lacks some CPU power and ram.

Naja über BW Maschinen und die Regierung wird ja gern öffentlich gelästert. Die Anzahl der Defekte in Urlaubsfliegern habe ich nicht recherchiert, aber die Zahl derer die umdrehen müssen wird wesentlich größer sein als zwei-stellig ;-) und keiner Rede wert in den Medien.
It’s okay to know EVs are not the pinnacle of transport evolution. BUT nearly everything it requires in resources can be recycled or live in 2nd use applications. And specialized industry for these are raising.
So technology wise, EVs are definetly a step forward.
Regarding the environment, we already see a shift coming from our current major main issue (CO2, NOX) to some different ones (harvesting).
Regarding more and better public transportation, we are nearly on a standstill (at least in Germany), while better legislative and monetary investments and infrastructures are required. That is not something , the industry or individuals can accomplish alone.

Just give it a try ... I am no admin, but can do both languages.From my perspective and experience: Debian was always up to date with security fixes but rather late with feature / package updates. Compared to Ubuntu, it is a rather conservative approach. But nowadays when running applications with Docker, this shouldn’t be much of a hassle anywhere. Containers are the great equaliser on any host.
Sounds absolutely legit to me. Aside this, a backup will never hurt.

Mal ganz praktisch: Was soll eine Hauptstadt an der Klippe eines Landes liegend bringen? Da ziehen die Tiefsachsen mal dran, bringen sie zu Fall und schon wäre der ganze Rest des Landes “kopflos”.
