Wait, people actually pee IRL from those? I have bladder pressure induced “looking for a toilet” dreams ever, but I’ve never actually let go, I just wake up near to bursting.

I can happen to you! You can be in your late 30s, never had an issue. Then one day, BAM! The dream was too vivid and you’ve pissed the bed. Your body will betray you some day.

Don’t say that. I habe dreams like that all the time without an issue. Now I am afraid of pissing myself in the years to come

        I can happen to you!

        …am I being threatened?

Typo jokes aside, I actually have a minor issue with my pelvic floor that makes peeing a little harder, it takes some effort to go, so hopefully it neither gets worse nor goes that way.

It’s the sudden realization. You can see the stream hitting the water, but also somehow feel your leg get wet. Then it hits you, and you wake up disgusted at yourself.

I ate some raw ground beef in my sleep a few days ago and woke up dry heaving. That was not fun.

I had a dream a few nights ago. I was a robot living in a society being taken over by this evil regime that was turning robots into humans. The leader of the regime lured me to the location where they were going to make me human. When he was dramatically revealed from behind the curtain - a split second after I realized I’d been tricked - he started towards me, and I kicked him in the junk as hard as I could!

Which was when I woke myself and my wife up because I’d kicked the shit out of the wall next to the bed. My big toe still hurts.

I had a similar thing happen once. I was being annoyed to hell and back by a guy I dislike because he is kind of a twat and dream me decided to just get it over and beat the shit out of him. So I went in for a punch and woke up because as it turns out punching a comode next to your bed with all your might hurts quite a bit. My knuckles were red for 2 days.

I have had that dream, and even though I kind of knew on some level that I was dreaming, and that letting loose right now would be a really bad idea, I also really needed to pee, and I was on a toilet, so I peed.

This has happened a couple of times and every time I woke up and was amazed to discover I had in fact not pissed the bed.

I’ve had both happen. The first time I didn’t piss myself I thought a miracle had happened.

One time when I was 10 or so, I had a dream where I was in some cartoon city jumping between rooftops, and noticed that I had to pee. Then I thought “well, this is my dream, so it doesn’t matter if I pee here”. Having to go to my parents’ bedroom and tell my dad I pissed in my bed was not fun.

A man came to doctor saying he has troubles with pissing his bed in the sleep.

    • Everytime in my dream a midget comes and says “let’s pee together”. Then we pee and I wake up in wet bed.
    • Well, next time when midget comes, say you’ve already peed. - doctor recommended.

Next night, the man is sleeping and seeing the midget again.

    • Let’s pee. - said the migdet.
    • I’ve already peed.
    • Alright, let poo then.

Had a dream the other day, with this exact scenario: woke up wet in the dream, then woke up for real totally dry. (Or did I wake up at all?)

I once had several dreams within a dream, like they were layered on top of each other, Inception style. It was quite honestly the worst nightmare I’ve ever had. Then I woke up, and my parents hadn’t even gone to bed yet. I was awake for most of the night after that.

I’ve had this in combination with sleep paralysis. Also my most panicked dream ever.

Basically I woke up in sleep paralysis, and then thought I had broken out of it when I had really just gone back to dreaming. It was my first time having sleep paralysis so I didn’t know how to react.

The third time it happened my friend was there. Then I remembered I had already woken up twice and might still be dreaming. I had read about lucid dreaming and “reality checks” so I did a check with my hand and realized I was still dreaming. I had been wanting a lucid dream, but because it had been a nightmare so far, I got the coldest shiver down my spine as I looked at my friend, realizing “you’re not real”. I followed him into another room and confronted him. “You’re not real”. He gave me a super creepy smug stare and then suddenly im a split second he lunged at me, his mouth opening a meter wide as of he was gonna eat me in one bite.

I woke up drenched and out of breath, but I was nonetheless relieved to finally be awake.

I only ever had two lucid dreams: one as a child, where I conjured a gun to play with, and my best dream, ever in my life, as an adult where I just turned the dream into an orgy. Read about training lucid dreaming and tried but could never actually get myself to lucid dream again.
