I just don’t get it, like why does it HAVE to Biden. If they REALLY believe democracy is at stake, like this will be the last election, then why go with this corpse when there are other choices. If they’re just saying “Democracy is at stake” and don’t believe it - why tie your political fortunes to Biden? Be the first to join the chorus, align with the majority, do better in 4 years (or whatever).

If they REALLY believe democracy is at stake

the people who believe this lie aren’t the ones making the decision. unlike the GOP, the rubes are not yet in charge in the DNC

      Death to America

At this point the libs are locked in by their own rules. They put Biden in the cockpit, shamed anyone who said “hey don’t put that old man in the cockpit”, and now they’re desperately banging on the door as he drives everyone into a mountain. Libs aren’t going to do a CIA style coup, and only Biden can make the decision to drop out at this point. We’re on rails

The problem are twofolds. First, Biden is a sinking ship. But the alternate rafter Kamala is not much better. According to the pdf/internal polls, Kamala is among the worst performing alternatives, while Whitmer and Mayo Pete performed the best. The Dems however, cannot just skip Kamala and crown Whitmer, Newsom, or Buttigeg without massive succession crisis, contested convention, and fracturing the party. As funny as it sounds, Copmala is the only viable alternative.

If only they could have possibly forseen the drawbacks of running two incredibly unpopular people who couldn’t convince somebody who works 40 hours a week theyre actual humans.

Oh well can expect the dems to be smart enough to come up with strategies like “don’t run people everybody hates”
