The ETR 600 is a class of trains built by Alstom, and are used on the routes between Roma-Bolzano and Roma-Trieste. The train tilts, using Pendolino technology, allowing higher speeds to be maintained through corners without causing discomfort to passengers. The trains are operated by Trenitalia, originally under the Frecciargento (Silver Arrow) branding used for trains capable of travelling between 250 km/h and 285 km/h, In 2022 they were rebranded under Frecciarossa (Red Arrow) after the Frecciargento branding was retired.

The ETR 600 has also been adapted for use in China as the China Railway CRH5 Hexie. Initially 60 sets were ordered, of which nine were manufactured by Alstom and 51 by CNR Changchun Railway Vehicles. Since, another 80 sets have been created for a total of 140, operating across China’s north from Beijing to Ürümqi.

    Are you sure you don’t have any other sleep issues preventing deep sleep (such as sleep apnea)? Granted, 200mg/day sound like a lot, so doesn’t seem that unexpected to need to pee at night if you are staying hydrated.

      I get horrible leg cramps waking me up if I go to bed without drinking water before bed

      I get woken up to pee if I drink water before bed

      just can’t win

      • Leg cramps can be fun, but not when trying to sleep. I had some problems with those night cramps when starting spiro - one night I couldn’t just walk it out, so I had to drink water if I wanted to sleep (I did try to sleep while just ignoring the cramp, but that wasn’t successful). Made me kinda glad my brain often seems to discards pain signals. Fortunately, haven’t had night cramps in the last few months.

          yeah I always just get up, put some weight on it, and drink a glass of water and it goes away. I like drinking water so I don’t see it as a “have to”, but its always painful and disorienting to wake up to, and then I have to crawl out of bed while trying not to bend my leg and exacerbate the cramp.

          • If I don’t already have water, it’s annoying having to find my cup (which might require turning on a light), go to the kitchen to refill (which requires dealing with the fridge light), and then try to fall back asleep after that. I’m generally not good at falling asleep, so if I can avoid getting up or turning on lights, the better chance of falling back asleep quickly. Getting up like that might cost hours of sleep time.

              ah fair

              I live alone in a small place so stumbling over to the sink in the dark and drinking out of whatever glass I last used and left on the counter is pretty easy and far preferable to trying to just ignore the cramp for me but I feel that, if the cramp weren’t painful especially

      I feel pretty rested throughout the day (as long as I get my siesta), so I don’t think I’m missing out on deep sleep. I just, without fail, wake up every 2-3 hours because I’m gonna pop. It’s clockwork. Then, after I wake up the second time, I can never get back to sleep. Hence, the siesta.

      I do stay well hydrated too - I sleep through the night once in a while because some days when not working I don’t chug water. I’m factory labor though so I’m usually going throughmore than 0.5-1.0 gallons a day. That wasn’t an issue before the spiro though!
