      One of my econ professors used to constantly note that we used some of the same formulas that are used in physics as a way to imply that neoliberal economics are some kind of natural, unfalsifiable system. The tools can be useful, but yeah some of the true believers genuinely think that our man made systems are universal truths.

      It is a social science. But again, you’re not making a good point. It was thanks to economists that, for example, the USSR managed to have unprecedentedly fast industrialization and growth that ultimately enabled the defeat of the Nazis. Without concepts like the Fel’dman model, or the work of Gosplan (remember, economics), none of that would have been possible.
