[squints] first I’d like some binoculars so I can read the menu
vegan wigan kebab
Salt&pepper tofu, salt&pepper chips, vegetable chow mein, spring rolls, peanut satay vegan chicken if they have it
We dont need to read the menu we already know. Give me a lunch special sweet and sour chicken with pork friend rice. Choose between a free soda or egroll!
Cream cheese wonton :> (the “Americanized” stuff is valid and its own thing too)
If they have it I reccomend everyone try bakcang/zongzi/glutinous rice/lotus rice (food in leaves and sticky rice are always delicious)
Zongzi is my favorite
hell yeah same
gimme that veggie mu shu
They got sesame tofu?
General tso’s, extra hot and spicy, then make it more spicy. Steamed rice and crab rangoon.
Thank you communist party for this takeout restaurant 🫡
A drink, first and foremost
fried rice with tostones and french fries.
what, why the strange look
Honey chicken, beef with black bean, fried rice with 3 delights, and some prawn toast thanks. And some spring rolls.
Happy family
I’ve definitely had it looking it up, but I never considered that was the name lol… for a second there I thought maybe you were talking about something similar to “spicy marriage” AKA
meat
“husband and wife lung pieces” (absolutely delicious)
Around here, the Amerikkkanized Chinese food places use “happy family” to refer to a mix of basically everything they have in the kitchen in a brown sauce. The specific ingredients vary by place, but it’s usually
meat
at least beef, chicken, and shrimp, with slightly nicer places adding pork and/or scallops, maybe some imitation crab
with whatever veggies they have lying around. Carrots, bok choy, broccoli, mushrooms, cucumber, green beans, anything.
Mapo tofu and egg fried rice, also some dumplings and soup to share
Egg fried rice, veggie spring rolls, egg fried rice, mixed vegetables in black bean sauce, egg fried rice, a big tub of sweet and sour sauce, some egg fried rice and another tub of sweet and sour sauce and some egg fried rice. And prawn crackers.
