What if there was a health tracking device that you swallow?

Smart watches and fitness bands can be cumbersome and unstylish. Instead of wearing one of these devices, why not put them in an ingestible package? From inside of you, it could probably track more health metrics than from a wrist worn platform. When it gets to the end of your digestive track, you would just take a seat on a toilet equipped with an automatic cleaning and recovery module. Or, all of the devices could be collected for refurbishment at the water treatment plant.

I am absolutely not swallowing one of those more than once.

yet you’re likely drinking treated water for a sewage based water treatment plant and eating grain based foods with allowable percentages of fecal matter and insect chunks. lol

how come this image loaded from the right to left?

it was almost reminiscent of dialup internet, I kinda loved it (once I got over the annoyance of it not being loaded)

I mean, the major issue there is “toilet equipped with an automatic cleaning and recovery module.” That is gonna be a huge expenditure for even one toilet in-home, and you’re not always at home when nature calls.

I think it’d be more feasible for the health tracking device to embed itself in your stomach or intestines somewhere so that it just doesn’t pass through, notwithstanding all the sanitation issues that arise from trying to implant something internally where all your food/waste passes through.

Maybe it could be a little robot with treads like a tank, always creeping against the direction of peristalsis.
