Very good. People will say that Season 2 isnāt as good, but thatās only because Season 1 is a masterpiece. There was no way to match that, but itās still great.
Personal opinion first season was very, very good.
Also personal opinion second season was more middling but had some high points, including the finale sort of wrapping up some of the weaker ideas.
Also, I am very biased because I have lived in the same areas as the creator of the show and thereās endless local references that unless youāve lived in many of the cities on the coast of Washington you wouldnāt immediately recognize.
For example the big bad evil oligarch family is named after a local chain of burger places in the creators hometown.
Did you create the show and the lore? No? Then how can you say that itās ālosing itselfā?
Iām pretty sure Ben Stiller, and the rest, knew where the show was going to go in Season 2 from the start. Just because itās going in a different direction than you thought, doesnāt mean itās ālosing itself.ā
I get your argument, but look at Westworld. It started amazingly but stepped away from what it was and it definitely lost itself. Surely they had a plan as well.
That said, I donāt quite agree Severance is losing itself. The finale firmly sets the path forward.
Of course you are entitled to your opinion. I just think āitās losing itselfā comes off more as a statement of fact than an opinion. At least to me. But I guess I misunderstood.
In my mind, at least this early on in a series, only the people who created the show can say if itās ālosing itself.ā
I dont know what to say, its my opinion. I donāt think anyone was reading my comment as a statement of fact. Iām just a random person online, no ones treating me as an objective authority.
Other users have different opinions and are free to up and downvote my comment or post a different take and those can be upvoted.
If you disagree with / are interested in having me elaborate on my reasons for feeling like the show is losing itself I worry that might get into spoilers territory though Iām not in principle against that conversation in the right context.
Maybe just leave a comment saying āI donāt think itās losing itself, itās been consistently good this seasonā or something like that and let the upvotes do their thing?
But you started basically from a place of āyouāre not the creator so you arenāt allowed to say thatā and I cant really respond to that beyond pointing out I am allowed an opinion on it and thatās not a really productive way to open a discussion.
Severance. Itās a show directed by Ben Stiller, where people get a small capsule put in their brain to completely seperate their work life from their personal life. They are basically two different people and they are showing all the moral and practical conflicts that happen due to the severing.
Is this show any good?
Itās fantastic

I liked Season 2 more TBH.

Itās fucking great.
Its losing itself a bit but still quite good.
Havenāt watched the finale yet, but I agree Season Two has dragged.
They created a lot of intrigue in S1 and now they have to have a payoff
āDevour Feculenceā was pretty much the highlight of season 2 for me. I have a weird soft spot for Mr. Milchick.
You are using way too many big words.
Grrrow!
Apologize for the word.
The guy who plays Mr. Milchick deserves an Emmy. His dancing with the marching band in the finale lol

What a bizarre replyā¦
No.
I am able to form opinions on the show because I have watched it.
Oh, yeah no Iām not quoting Ben Stiller good catch, this is my own opinion I formed by watching the show.
Agreed. Itās losing itself for other reasons.
Does that help?
