I don’t think anything will recapture the magic of the original run. That being said, all the revivals have been good to great. There are some excellent episodes in the revival seasons. I have a deep attachment to these characters, and if they can achieve at least what they did last time I’ll be more than happy.

Actually, I don’t like the first two seasons much. And I know I’m in the minority for that. But I also have a very deep attachment to those characters.

I love the early seasons, but there are definitely some dud episodes among them. Better hit-to-miss ratio than later seasons, but some big misses nonetheless.

I think by the end of season 2 they were on a roll that did not end until the original run closed out. I really like most of the first 2 seasons overall, better than most other shows out there.

Considering I don’t really think they did the other 3 times, I’m going to say probably not. To me the series ends with Devil’s Hands. The rest is fine once a year, but it’s not on an almost continuous loop like S1-5

How can the pandemic be only 3 years old yet already feel dated as a source of humor? Maybe it’s the 18 months we spent living every day on repeat or the subject’s been beaten into the ground, but jokes about Q-tips are a bit tired. That one minor gripe aside, I’m excited for new Futurama.

That’s exactly what I felt watching the trailer.

I found COVID era storytelling to be very interesting 1.5yrs ago, now it feels very old.

It will be worse than the original Guild Strike, you could only kinda notice something was off watching late 00’s content, now it will be too obvious.

That being said, in a couple decades it’ll be interesting for generations that weren’t born yet.

The title made me confused. I’ve had season 8 sitting on Plex for a couple of months now. It turns out someone leaked it and Sonarr just did its job and downloaded everything early.

Are you sure? None of my trackers has it. But there is season 6 titled as season 8. There is some inconsistency with season numbering.

You’re right. I just check them and they appear to be mis-numbered. Super confusing because IMDB lists there being 11 seasons, while TVDB lists only 7. The episodes conformed to IMDB, but not TVDB.
