It is so hard to spend that kind of change.

This would really curse me, since just yesterday, I’d wanted to buy something at the dollar store but forgot my card and wallet (and my mobile payment doesn’t seem to work), so I got $48.90 in change from the bill I kept just in case.

Sometimes, I go and give my extra change to the homeless. Other times it has piled up when I buy something, I went and used a self-checkout machine that accepts cash, and paid with a whole fistful of nickles, dimes, and quarters.

My dad would be well-prepared for this curse. I’ve seen him make purchases with handfuls of (carefully counted) dimes, nickels, and pennies.
