“You must be fun at parties.” Uh why would I want to party with Nazis?

“So edgy.” If I cared what liberals thought, I wouldn’t be a communist.

“You’re just a larper.” Larp it till you make it, am I right? Also, what have larpers ever done to you?

“Nazism and communism are the same.” Yes, Nazism is when you want to destroy Nazism forever rather than fund it the way you do.

“You only support communism because you’re sheltered and don’t know how the real world works.” Inevitably said by spoiled imperial core treat fiends who haven’t opened a history book since high school.

“You only support socialism because you want free stuff” What, do you not want free stuff? What do you have against free stuff?

or “communism only works in theory” said with no sense of self reflection as capitalism does a sick triple backfip off a cliff

Ironically, I support socialism because I’m tired of people getting free stuff.

Look at all the real estate influencers who brag about how having a house gives them free stuff, or that they can raise the rent on their tenants all they want and get whatever the hell they please for free.

Any of the “echo chamber” bullshit that they love, for 2 reasons:

1 - It literally just refers to any online group that broadly agree with each other, but they don’t agree with you. They broadly like each other, but not you. They value each other’s perspectives, but not yours. It’s literally just “I’m getting rejected and I don’t like it.”

2 - directed against communists in particular, it’s just absurd. The vast, overwhelming majority of communists on this earth live in capitalist countries. They literally have more exposure in their day-to-day, moment-to-moment lives to capitalism and the liberal bullshit that “justifies” it, than they do to their own beliefs. Even online, communists and communist focused communities are a fucking unicorn, most spaces are liberal shitholes.

If someone drops this on me, I like to turn this on them and give them examples of how they are also [insert ideology]fash.

Libfash is easy - anything that exists outside the core is almost always fascistic and the history is fascistic as well as the way internal colonies are treated

Not wanting to start a sectarian slapfight I’m going to skirt around the other examples but suffice it to say, there’s enough historical examples of other movements having fascistic tendencies historically speaking as well.

    These or rough equivalents…

    • “People don’t understand how politics works.” / “You don’t understand how politics works.”

    • “What do you want __________ to do?” The fill-in-the-blank is Biden or whoever.

    • “Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”

    • “Do you want Trump to win?” / “This helps Trump.” / etc.

“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”

I hate this phrase so much. The funniest thing about it is that I’ve seen it attributed to different people over the years, depending on the libs affiliations/frame of reference. Some says its a Reagan quote, others say its Obama lol

Back in 2021 for a couple months I had some fun needling the libs who were lecturing me that I was “unrealistic” and I didn’t know how politics worked. I’d wait for the right time and then I’d say something like “Oh, I get it. You think we shouldn’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good. That Joe Fucking Manchin phrase is going to get so much stuff done!

archive.today • Joe Biden Says He Has Infrastructure Deal With Bipartisan Senators Group - Bloomberg

        June 24, 2021

One of the key moderate Democrats and a member of the bipartisan group that worked on the infrastructure plan, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, urged progressives to support the deal. “I would say please don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good,” he told reporters Thursday.

Of course the joke ended up being that the actual enemies of the good - Manchin, Sinema, and other shit but silent dems - got everything they wanted.

“Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.”

For some reason it never applies to the libs themselves. It’s never:

        • We shouldn’t let our dreams of ice-chewing austerity stand in the way of our chance of winning elections by doing economic populism.
        • We shouldn’t let our dreams of total global hegemony stand in the way of our chance at being one important voice among others in a multipolar world.

I like when they can’t even process what to say anymore, so they start doing smug redditor voice at you. “Oh dear, lacking in both emotional and general intelligence. Such a combo!” or “Ah yes, quite a robust display of edgy, uneducated ignorance from our resident temperamental leftist. Does your pharmacist know your prescriptions are running low?” I would respect them so much more if they’d just say something more like “you’re trash and you suck, fuck you.” Instead they have to act like they’re some professor at a podium mocking an unruly student.

Honestly most of the time when a liberal insults me it’s either straight ableism or they do some moral grandstanding about democracy or etiquette. They get so prissy pants sometimes. “Can you please stay on topic? I never even mentioned “first world crackers” and I don’t know why you’re using such brutish words with me.”

Nah that is not even close to the worst aspect, the main issue is economics is literally not a science. It is not recognized as such, it doesn’t use the scientific method and even the bare minimal amount of math and physics used is always pandered towards justifying capitalism.

Even if it was possible to take economics in a vacuum and ignore ideology somehow(maybe as an alien observer of humanity) it would still come to the conclusions that capitalism is extremely flawed and must be abolished.

Good luck finding those opinions in any “Economics 101” book though. Also Marx already denigrated vulgar economics 200 years ago.

A really nauseating one used by succdems is when they accuse the left of being a bunch of students/academics/elites/wokes etc. who have no connection to workers, unlike the succdems themselves who really knows what they want down at the smoke and sparks factory (it’s racism and reactionary culture war bullshit).

I love it when our SocDems, who are all academics with Master’s Degrees, have to cosplay as a worker and have their picture taken with them wearing a hard hat. Such a weird throwback to when the Socdems and Unions actually stood for something rather than just being empty vessels for people who dream of spreadsheets.

Theres also the whole debate around Danmarksdemokraterne (litt. Denmark’s Democrats) and their fight over who counts as Danish, since they like to accuse people of being cosmopolitans who don’t know what life is like outside of the big cities.

I think it’s cause I just post here and nowhere else online, this just doesn’t happen to me. Also generally speaking liberals are too decorum brained for insults which makes them pathetic weeny lovers, name calling and personal attacks are based. IRL, where I do speak to liberals trying to agitate at work and whatever, it’s shooting fish in a barrel, there aren’t many dedicated liberals working in a kitchen and exactly how hard you work vs your pay is reeeeeeal easy to see when you’re making food, ordering food and doing the costing, the last bit of math is the sum of your wages, it’s pretty fucking clear pretty fast. After that all you have to do is also be anti imperialist and be good at explaining history going back 10 years or sometimes as much as the early 20th century but that shit should be easy if you’re a communist. Don’t speak to liberals online, irl they’re absolutely fuckjng paralyzed. If you’re even sort of okay at rhetoric they will fold like superman on laundry day.

i think you’re right on this one. Liberals online like to pick apart sentences and scream at you to stay on topic or adhere to some complex rules of etiquette. In real life it’s far easier to fluster them, especially if they can’t link you to their favorite Medium article or whatever. I can’t ever imagine a liberal trying to call me a tankie in real life. The idea of them speaking the word aloud is ridiculous and they’d know it. I think we’d both die from embarrassment on the spot.

I’ve done union organizing and while most have been reactionary Trump types because of the area, we did have one smug liberal type. All we really had to do was say, “Hey, now’s not the time.” to the liberal and they’d always shut up just from that.
