The Matrix Rap, which would have dominated the charts for months, would have changed the entire cultural impact of the films.

Morpheus: “Free… your… mind “ as he jumps an impossible gap between two high rise buildings.

    Neo: “aww hell naw.”

Jon Peters, one of the producers, had been trying to shoehorn a giant spider into a movie for quite some time. It wasn’t that he thought it particularly needed to be in Wild, Wild West. He just wanted one, so he tried to get it written into every movie he was involved with until he finally succeeded. Hearing that really helped me understand the rest of that movie.

Releasing his song as the soundtrack of The Matrix? That would have been like the Wild West. The wicky wicky wild wild west.

By the script, the matrix would probably sound pretty bad. I mean a Sci fi plot where no one is awake because it turns out robots enslaved people and kept them asleep to use their body heat to power themselves? Because even though it’s a super advanced system, robots couldnt come up with any other way of making power? And the6 didn’t just use something that would have been way simpler to mindful, like cows or monkeys or anything? And they can battle against you, but not be infinitely better than you?

    On paper it sounds silly.
