wasn’t there some research recently that said that like 20% of what your brain does was actually controlled by your gut microbiota?

I’m not sure if it’s stomach problems causing anxiety, or anxiety causing stomach problems 🤔

Considering I’m sending this from the toilet, probably both.

Ahh, nothing quite like nervous shits.

Am I auto irrigating because I’m nervous about so many things? Or am I destroying this throne causing me to feel nervous about so many things?

Then someone walks in the restroom and takes another stall and you panic even worse. ‘Oh god, are they going to know it’s me carpet bombing this place?’ vs ‘Oh god, am I going to nuke this facility because they know I’m here?’

Then when your all done and recomposed and ready to step out of the stall you see sweat drip off your face, and you panic again “oh, shit, what are they going to say now?

I like working from home. It’s a lot better.

The most commonly prescribed antidepressants/anxiolytics are SSRIs, which act on the neurotransmitter serotonin. Serotonin also plays a huge role in regulating your gut, apparently there’s way more of it regulating your gut than in your brain. I’ve seen SSRIs help a ton of people with gut issues
