If it’s war and combat you want there is absolutely no shortage of that going on…

    You’re born just in time.

I’d probably be ready to split your head open if you were #1 so that’s a good thing you aren’t a degenerate religious zealot nobility fuck

You also don’t want to move meat fodder for some politicians war, imagine how North Korean soldiers are being used in Ukraine right now—being tossed at drones so the Russian elite forces flank… you want to be that meat fodder for some weird strange reason and you think you’ll be seen as a hero, no youlll get spit on. You don’t want to be any of them, you think the “elite” forces are better off? Fuck invading someone else’s home. You don’t want to be invaded either, be happy with peace

Don’t settle for being a corporate slave either, you limit your possibilities only to what has happened in the past or in media, not imagining what you actually want

You are born just In time to see a wave of worker co-ops flood the lower classes, you are born just in time to see the community around you needs you right now, not tomorrow

I rode a vehicle into combat. It’s really not all it’s cracked up to be. You’re sleep deprived, terrified, and every now and then something happens that reinforces the randomness of who gets to go home on their feet and who goes home under a flag.

That’s only going to get worse as we get things like turrets that can acquire targets on their own. Ever seen an aimbot video from a game? How do you take out a line of weapons that have pinpoint accuracy and fire as fast as they can physically move their barrels?

The next big war is going to be World War 1 all over again. And the old wars with Knights and Cavalry killed more people with dysentery than the fighting.

Just let me play Doom in a cubicle.

I just fired Bannerlord back up the other day for the first time in a while. It’s come a long way!

Nah, you’d be on a field till your neck sweat reached your ass crack. You had to be born into nobility to be a knight… sort of like how you have to be born into riches to not be a [insert profession] monkey.

Yeah you’d be cannon fodder in every era unless you are highborn. Even in the cyberpunk halo future.

I imagine that I would never be on the side of the crusaders, so now seems more suitable for my tastes than those two options.

“The Taliban used to be free of restrictions, but now we sit in one place, behind a desk and a computer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Life’s become so wearisome; you do the same things every day.” – Some dude with the Taliban

If I was alive in the Warhammer 40k universe I’d honestly probably be turned in servo-skull and tasked with far more mundane jobs like following around a Space Marine as a lamp.

Right there that’s where we went wrong. Back when Dracula was in charge the prices of groceries were reasonable, and he only needed a few virgins a year sacrificed.
