The first time I heard desantis speak was on a podcast in the background, and I legit thought for a second that I might have been hearing a trained bird. He asks the person “Howyoudoing?” In one gormless singsong noise, as if it was just a sound he learned to make for a reward of banana chunks and not something he ostensibly understands the meaning of. At least birds have a strong personality, sense of self and drive to explore. This man’s ability to connect with humans is sub-bird.
