Which ironically is the the only thing giving him any legitimacy.

Instead of crying about him saying bloodbath for two days (but reiterating they won’t do anything to beat him electorally) he’s gotten days of free press and he gets to act like a tough guy.

If the universal response had been “what’re you going to do get your supporters to smear shit on the wall then go home while you watch it on tv?” They’d actually put him on the backfoot.

Oh come on the conspiracy theories about him actually being alive and hanging out with his best friend Tupac are going to be hilarious.

Chuds are gonna post pictures of 90 year old women with perms from behind with captions like “still hiding in plain site, trust the plan”

You don’t wanna watch a dozen Maga dudes struggle to disinter him to prove he’s not dead and accidently flop his rotting corpse with a perfectly intact toupee out on camera?

I kind of don’t think people as a group have enough follow through to start (more of a) cult around trump. We just don’t have a collective attention span that lasts longer than a week. What we’re seeing is more like a lifestyle brand than a group of people seriously committed to ideals.

The internet as we know it will die with trump. Even with him alive, there are still days where I think “there’s nothing on the Internet today”

Turns out “I’m not trump” is less of an effective sales pitch if the other person also isn’t Trump and that’s literally all they have to run on.

Liberals in 2028 after Trump died of natural causes a year prior: We’re still 99% Hitler. Why won’t you vote for the lesser of one Hitlers?

When liberals stick their fingers in this beehive is when you folks are at your absolute finest. Federation has been awesome. I know not everyone likes it and I know arguments online aren’t THAT important but there is such a clear difference between sides when the Hexbear posting batallions engage with the liberal interlocutors.

I remember reading someone somewhere say years ago that to the extent debating online means anything it is for the people reading the exchange and not so much the parties debating. The lurkers if you will. Well I am a lifelong lurker because I think I recognized before I had the vocabulary that a lot of posting on social media ultimately amounts to alienation from creative labor. The feeling of bleakness from that and a sort of shame about the idea of trying to garner attention towards myself have kept me from ever being a committed poster.

This space has been the only time I have ever felt like it’s really worth being a part of this.

The way in which you folks have honed your rhetorical edges against each other and practice libs in the dunk tank really shows. Those muscles are strong and they hate that to outside observers you are almost always the more cogent and coherent side.

But the absurdity and humor are even more potent weapons because it breaks the tension and gives people room to examine preconceived notions. There is a degree to which inspiring a laugh is almost like a concession of a point. They cannot stand that we’re more factually grounded AND funnier!

All this is a long winded way of saying that they cannot stand that you folks are funnier, more grounded, and have way better emojis.

    Never log off Hexbear o7

lol I never thought of it like a training ground. It just feels good to put my frustration into words and/or read the dunk of someone who already put in that work.

As much as I like this, I do understand why someone replied to you with a PPB due to the unfortunate reality:

For every one of us who have studied the posting blade, there are two vulnerable comrades who will be subjected to libs tearing the mask off so fast they scalp themselves in their fervour to bully our trans, queer and enby posters to death.

It fucking sucks, but we can’t trust them (libs) to be better and we can’t sacrifice our comrades for privileged posting enjoyment

They’re completely out of their element. Liberals are so mad that it’s not Reddit and there’s no mod looking over their shoulder to delete our posts to protect their feelings when we dump a massive 7 paragraph essay on them shredding every stupid belief they have and have been allowed to repeat unrestricted for years on Reddit.

What annoys me is not libs disliking us, or disagreeing with us about who the true LEFTIST is, or crying because they got banned.

It’s just the sheer, utter disinformation where it’s objectively demonstrable that they just make up shit about us and then all believe it. Still in .world, despite being corrected many times, the majority of users will say Hexbears did mass downvoting, when that’s literally impossible.

They’ll say we love Putin, and Trump. And that we’re all fascists - even if you believed dumbdumb horseshoe theory, a fair portion of us aren’t even close to authoritarian. That we’re largely Chinese shills and bots. That we deliberately organise RAIDS on other instances and aren’t just a big community group who like to share our personal experiences on other threads and we like to come to each other’s aid. That we’re a place of HATE when this place, of all sizeable internet communities, has one of the biggest cultures of love and mutual aid I’ve ever seen.

I get the political disagreements. I get the disagreement on conversational tone. What I don’t get is the sheer determination to not even understand us in the slightest way, to take the most random bullshit, even when it is factually impossible, and take it at face value; all just so they don’t have to acknowledge us as real people. That’s what upsets me. kitty-birthday-sad

    Now I made myself sad >:( I love y’all comrades meow-hug

They think when we joke about him dying we’re just being edgy, but also we support him cuz that’s also edgy.

They hate him in a dignified civil way where they fail to stop him from doing anything but say “you are like Voldemort good sir!”

Trump dying would be extremely funny and cool

Like imagine it happens at one of his rallies and the crowd just thinks he’s speaking in tongues but his brain is dying and nobody moves to render assistance until he keels over, hopefully falling into Jared Kushner’s lap 3 Stooges style

That shit was crazy. When they made that weirdly edited video of him landing in the helicopter then standing at the top of the stairs breathing laboriously.
