“I don’t have a horse in this cook-off.”
I don’t have a cock in this horse-off
A picture is worth its weight in gold.
The squeaky wheel gets the cheese.
Does the Pope shit in the woods?
Big fan of “I don’t have a donkey in this fiesta”
I don’t have a piñata in this quinceañera
I don’t have a militia in this civil war
I don’t have a dog in this race
Dog racing is somewhat common.
I would have felt a dog racing is actually more common than horse racing. Dogs are cheaper than horses, and don’t require jockeys, so that’s a cost saving right there.
Con Idea: I could get a really big dog, and enter it as a small horse.
More common than horse fights for sure
“not my circus, not my monkey”
I always heard it as “Not my monkeys, not my circus”
🤡
Ill jump off that bridge when I get to it.
Good, that shows you can correctly schedule tasks.
It’s a moo point.
I’ve never heard “dog in this fight” before; what the fuck and it’s normal??
I’ve heard it a lot. Xennial from rural Ohio, USA originally
I’ve heard that before, but I’m my lived experience the horse race once has been way more common. maybe it’s reversed if you live somewhere that dogfighting is more common.
the horse one is wayy more common apparently considering that I’ve never heard the dog one
Whenever there’s a horsefight, my money is always on the horse. The guy fighting it always gets demolished.
“That’s just three jockeys in a trenchcoat!”
Clearly you aren’t familiar with the Calvins Twins and their horse boxing empire
Ya gotta laugh
You’re the one fucking this goat; I’m just holding the horns ~ ex of mine (she might also have said bull)
“Alright, let’s fuck this chicken”
-Friend of mine, every time he runs open mic night.
it was goat
Love me some malaphors. My personal favorite is mixing “shit or get off the pot” and “if you can’t stand the heat, get out of the kitchen”
Does the pope shit in the woods
Why you keep asking me that, holmes? I told you, I dunno. Where his Holiness does his business, is his business
Got me giggling like mad here. I didn’t know about the second one, let alone the combinations. I’ll have to remember that.
You wouldn’t bring a dog to a horse fight.
“Not my circus, not my monkeys” is another pretty common one I’ve heard
