Amateur hour! The cinder blocks are all aligned and could more easily tip over; stagger those joints! The top will scratch your phone; put a piece of wood, cardboard, or an old shirt on top to protect it. Also, throw away that phone box, that shit ain’t collectable.

          I used to do that.

Now I use a box cutter and cut out any bar codes or serial numbers off most of the boxes and put them in the motherboard box with the rest of manuals and accessories. It was hard at first but it’s been good.

Drawers tend to become a void of lost things, something with many small open shelves would keep things in a “organized chaos”.

You also make a lot of noise when you search trough drawers.

Absolutely. It’s a simple design that makes it easy to find things in the dark, and provides plenty of storage space for various bits and bobs you might want easy access to before bed or in the morning (not just that, get your mind out of the gutter!). Make sure at least one of the cubbies are large enough to take an oversized hardback book, and ideally have some space under it to hide an extension cord so you can plug in your phone charger and a bedside lamp.

You can probably find a used nightstand for free easier than finding/buying those blocks to haul to your apartment.

The design is a awesome, but come on don’t put it directly over the floor, put a rag or something under it.

Wood might flex a bit and absorb the impact, making it hurt a bit less. Concrete won’t.

Not even that - a wooden nightstand is much lighter than a stack of cinder blocks. If you kick a nightstand hard enough, it’ll hurt like hell but the table will move. The bricks will not.

Yeah, seriously, make that in wood and it would be a hit.

The most popular shelves are just a bunch of cubes, one side open, slapped together.

There is no fucking way I’m keeping a bedside table like that. Specifically a bedside table.

How the hell am I gonna show people my room politely with vibrators, lube, condoms, rope, spanking paddles, rope & a hitachi wand hanging out fuck all that lol

I don’t know, it seems pretty normal to sometimes have a platonic friend or family member in my room?

I don’t wanna be like “no stay out” sometimes I want advice on what to wear or a second pair of eyes to look for something.

Also, some people live in studio apartments… or have kids…

Don’t even need to remake much. Just put a slab of wood in the middle and on top.
