This post was made by King right after Kamala did a rally in Michigan and used that phrase to trash some Anti-Genocide Pro-Palistine protesters who she first said that “OK I’m Speaking” and then told them to keep it up if they wanted Trump to win. This is after she had had met with muslim leaders and protest leaders and was giving them the run around.

Caitlin Johnstone who is famous for hosting Democracy Now and has been covering the genocide in depth, saw Steven King post this and thought, as many other people did, that it was referring to what she did to the protesters . Then people in the know started to inform us that it was in reference to something she said during the Presidential Debate 4 years ago. Something that her team should take into account and do away with that merch for a while.

She personally met with those protesters before the rally, then when they later interrupted the rally, she let them have their moment, then when they wouldn’t shut up, that’s when she said that. Those particular protesters had no intention of having any kind of discussion, and it’s quite telling that they only come to Democratic events instead of Republican ones, who are MUCH more hawkish and pro-Israel than Dems and whom a protest against might be more effective, if they actually cared about Palestinians

To be fair they protest Democrats because they have a history of at least listening. The Republicans, not so much.

If they went to the Republican rallies, the Republicans would violently attack them. Trump has repeatedly and explicitly told them to do so. I can’t blame them for not protesting where they know it would land them in the hospital, or worse.

So if the democrats violently attacked them they wouldn’t protest?

            Interesting, nuanced even.

Willing to put the lives of marginalized people in danger with a trump presidency but if their physical well being is threated, genocide away.

So, here’s the real reason they don’t show to trump rallies. They are under the impression they can influence the Harris campaign into supporting policy that will strong arm Isreal into ending the Palestinian genocide. Is it far fetched? Possibly, but they are desperate.

Unfortunately, we are all pretty desperate right now. So, the whole weighing human suffering thing is kind of… deaf ears and all that…

If Harris and Biden were explicitly telling their supporters to attack protesters, I know I would stop protesting at their events. I dunno about these particular protesters, but I would imagine that sort of hateful rhetoric would certainly have a cooling effect on any hypothetical protests in such a scenario.

I personally have to be extremely cautious when protesting. I have a record, and I’m certain that it would be used against me. DUI is the worst thing, but there’s also some weed distribution charges as well. I’m sure they would use that to trump up resisting arrest, or assaulting an officer, if I attended any of the protests where they intend to get arrested.

im not sure if its desperation, i think it’s that they’re all just single issue voters, they have literally nothing else in life that they care about.

I feel like if they were desperate they would probably run disinfo farms or like, fight in the conflict. But what do i know.

            imagine being Palestinian right now.

having a long and continued squabble over who owns that land that israel sits upon, both israel and palestine being the same fucking thing biblically.

Britain shows up, goes “fucking lol, this shits mine now losers” and then shits out israel, nearly a century of war goes by, neither side ceding literally anything to the other, except for Palestine because they’re bad at fighting against a well supported and funded military, i wonder why. And then continuing to engage in that conflict until quite literally nothing is left of you as a state or nation.

and so you show up to america, for whatever reason, you’ve probably lived there most if not all of your life, you see this shit happening, and the US supporting israel, and your first thought is, “surely harassing politicans will fix the problem” or even “man surely if i just call the public genociding nazis, they’ll finally stop killing my people”

like my brother in christ, go vote.

For which politician. The ones that AIPAC has either bought off or scared that they will spend endless money against any position you run for on your competitor at the slightest move that they do not approve of. The Scary Orange Man who will make things worse or the party of the Scary White Man who is literally funding the genocide of your people, the third party candidates which will get you attacked from both sides, or choose not to vote at all for a protest.

And if you look they say “They won’t vote for Genocide” not “They won’t vote for Kamala if she changes her position on Israel and its lunatic right wing government”. But they won’t vote for someone who is killing their families.

                For which politician.

for literally any of them, it’s a given right of yours to hold. You could vote for mr shit farts if you so pleased. That would be a bad ballot, but you could still do it. You can also vote locally as well, there are many options here to help this situation.

Scary White Man who is literally funding the genocide of your people

this is also not quite true, it’s partially representative though.

And if you look they say “They won’t vote for Genocide”

classic single issues voting experience really.

I’m sure you’re right about the context, but this still isn’t a great look. I also assumed that this was a reference to the very recent event, not a four year old interaction with someone who isn’t running for office this election cycle. I don’t think that’s an uncommon or unreasonable mistake to make.

You do know what propaganda is right?

information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

It doesn’t have to be false information. It can just be biased. It can also just be misleading.

Always a good course to take. I’m only saying that the right words at the right time can make a difference. We shouldn’t fear words with a bad history if they have a useful place in the present.

They aren’t feared, and they aren’t useful? Queer for example is still useful since it was embraced and used to define ambiguous or questioning folks. Fag is only useful if you’re asking me for a cig or you wanna make some effigies.

For people who have every opportunity to behave and act with decency, but do not or will not: they are fags.

So you want to reclaim “faggot” from the gay community, and turn it back into a hate slur? Get fucked, homophobe.

We grew out of those words for a reason. There’s a million other ways you can describe those people. I know you’re not attempting to be homophobic, but just for the sake of language, it’s crude and lazy to just use that in place of ways you could much more creatively insult somebody. That word doesn’t need to be reclaimed, and really has no value worth bringing back.

That is not what those words mean and you don’t get to personally decide they mean something else. We have words for those definitions already; Idiot and Asshole.

I looked Caitlin up for 50 seconds. Went to her website. She seems like a huge Tankie with her posts. (Anderson Cooper is a CIA agent.) Fuk, that is some weird lefty paranoid shit, even for me.

Anyway, she can cope and seethe that the country is headed in a better direction.

By “her” do you mean Caitlin or Kamala? It’s really not clear, but I think you mean Caitlin.

I should have clarified, sorry. Caitlin. Maybe she has some good takes, but I am more cautious about certain anti-american leftist rhetoric, and one of them is calling random people CIA agents. I used to be really into this type of stuff, but ever since the Ukrainian war and how the Russian propaganda uses anti-american rhetoric to use as fuel for their war, I have just been more critical of it.

She’s just the left’s equivalent of a thoughtless single issue voter: stuck on her one point like a flagpole sitter, obstinate and blind to the realities of the normal people on the ground below. All of her tweets are like “bOtH sIdEs ArE jUsT aS bAd”.

Well that’s great Caitlin, how nice for you that nothing would change for you personally if Trump won. How awesome to be in such a privileged position that from your high post they both look tHe SaMe. Sounds like a comfy place to spend your days yelling at the people down in the mud.

So, Anderson Cooper IS a CIA agent or what?

I agree democracts can be cringe and are not much better than cons, but fuck man they are better than Trump.

Besides, Shawn fain is planning a General Strike in 2028. Can’t wait for that.

I saw one of these shirts in the wild and it bummed me out a little. Seems like a tasteless slogan to get going, and… just oddly pro-authority sounding. I expected Harris to dissapoint me eventually (Obama 2.0) but I thought she’d at least give me until after the election.

It’s an old shirt from 2020 if that helps. She said “I’m speaking” at a debate. Unfortunately, the context has changed now.

I expect she’ll probably have to use that phrase again in the upcoming debate with Trump. What with the way he tends to ramble like a doddering old man who gets angry when people don’t listen to the weird shit that comes out of his mouth.
