Stop making Israel an election issue and worry about your own damn country.

My own damn country is the one arming their genocide. I didn’t make it an election issue, they did. Fuck you.

nah dude you can totally bear-hug a genocide in a country where like 75% of the genocider population routinely cycles through living in the US without affecting domestic politics at all, get it through your head. it’s totally fine and doesn’t affect your life at all that your manager at work personally shot 12 palestinian children in the head at point blank range.

How many thousands of women and children were simply LIVING in their homes when Israel voluntarily and with full knowledge of their civilian presence dropped a 1,000lb JDAM on them to eliminate a singular HAMAS target or two?

Look I’m voting for Harris but I really, really dislike how she goes into explicit detail on the events of October 7th but doesn’t go into explicit detail on Palestinians crushed, decapitated, blown in half or to bits by explosives, maimed, shot, and yes sometimes raped by IDF. This double-standard of evocative imagery is in itself pretty disturbing.

    this boils my blood

I hate this “oh so you want a perfect candidate who gives you everything you want” rhetoric.

      1. yes obviously that’d be ideal

      But

      1. we live in the belly of the most murderous empire in human history, so I don’t expect it, and the only demand I have, the only one (1) is “don’t commit a genocide.” I hate the rest of the Biden/Harris platform regime’s likely policies (they don’t want to share a public platform) too, but if I genuinely believed she’d try to stop the genocide I’d hold my nose and voted for her, I’ve (I’m embarrassed to admit in such a cool radical space) done it before several times since I started hating the Dems out of hating the Republicans more, but I cannot in the face of genocide.

That’s nothing to be embarrassed about, if that were a campaign promise (though her being the current VP and the genocide still going on would be fucked in it’s own right) then that’s a real reason to actually vote, it’s something actionable and would help millions, tangibly by allowing them to live, if ever voting in this hellscape mattered that’s a compelling reason to. I’m sure many of us were ready to vote for Bernie because of his campaign promises and like that campaign, of course we can’t have that, because this democracy is a farce

No I mean like I voted for Biden because the “Look he can’t possibly be worse than Trump, do you really not care about abortion rights?” propaganda got to me even though I found Biden himself despicable (and then he turned around and committed genocide, so much for harm reduction. That’s what I’m kind of ashamed of.

If I genuinely thought Kamala Harris would be Biden term 2 unchanged except working against the genocide instead of for it I’d be browbeating everyone I knew to vote for her.

          • Ohh I hear you. I do wish more people would reflect like you have on the promises Biden gave and the administration we got. Amnesia has taken hold.

I’d also be voting for her if she vowed to change course. Funny how you can get my vote that way.

I gotta say, I am so fucking angry about the abortion restrictions that the scumbag GOP implemented, that I will vote to keep the republicans out of power no matter what. as much as I hate the democrats, harris, and their genocidal policy in gaza, I also hate the republicans who support the same policies PLUS support murdering women through abortion restrictions.

call me a lib if you want. but I want to punish the republicans for the abortion shit and I have not been able to yet at all so I will not skip the chance to do so.

In 2007, then Senator Obama told Planned Parenthood signing that law would be “the first thing I’d do as president.”

In April, 2009, the recently inaugurated Obama said that legislation to codify abortion rights into federal law “is not the highest legislative priority.”

The democrats also had the numbers to end the filibuster and do it in the last congress but are evidently unwilling or incapable

The Democrats refuse to do any of the obvious things it would take to fix that shit. All you’re doing is rewarding them for genocide.

Abortion bans are terrible. They’re still not as heinous as literal genocide. They’re still easier to solve and fight than genocide, in ways jat are obvious to anyone with a little spine and creativity.

Let’s flip the script a little:

"I gotta say, I am so fucking angry about the genocide that the scumbag Democrats are committing, that I will vote (Republican) to keep the Democrats out of power no matter what. As much as I hate the Republicans, Trump, and their rapist policies in the US, I also hate the Democrats who materially support the same policies PLUS support genociding Palestinians.

Vote PSL, vote Green, or don’t vote at all. If you choose to vote for genocide then you send rhe message that genocide is ok, make yourself complicit, and deserve whatever resulting karmic punishment comes your way.

Have some fucking solidarity. If you hate Republicans that much then find a way to hurt them that doesn’t involve empowering Nazis.

except the difference is that republicans ALSO support the genocide in palestine. making your analogy inaccurate.

I have solidarity with the women who can’t get abortions, and exercise it one way that takes 5 minutes, by voting for the party that can feasibly win and supports abortion rights. there is no viable option in the presidential election to have solidarity with palestinians and with women, unfortunately. I will have to express my solidarity with palestinians outside of the ballot box.

The Democrats also support abortion bans. They had a chance to codify abortion rights under Obama but didn’t. They stood by as Republicans restricted abortion access in many states even before the Dobbs decision. They’ve had control of the presidency since 2021 and haven’t done anything to fix the Supreme Court stacking.

Democrats would rather use abortion as a fundraising cudgel than do anything about it.

Doesn’t sound like you have solidarity with Palestinian women.

The best case for Gaza is Harris taking a serious stand against sending weapons to Israel in order to court the many voters who have expressed that support of a genocide is a deal breaker. That won’t happen without people protesting the policies of this administration and making it clear that they won’t accept this.

Gaza protestors aren’t focusing on how they’re withholding their votes from Trump because they weren’t going to vote for Trump in the first place so there is no leverage.

Sorry, but Harris is the best case scenario for Gaza.

Incorrect. Claudia De La Cruz, Jill Stein, and other candidates are firmly anti-genocide, unlike Harris who is pro-genocide.

Donald “Muslim Ban” Trump will help make the current situation in Gaza look quaint.

What, materially, would he do that the DNC isn’t already doing?

find it really odd that protesters in the U.S. absolutely refuse to discuss Trump -who still has a good chance of winning- in terms of Gaza.

Trump isn’t President. None of us here want Trump either, both Kamala and Trump are aligned on being pro-genocide, therefore neither is an option.

s to the degree that I firmly believe protest leadership is less about helping Gaza and more about disenfranchising Democrats.

The Democrats need to be disenfranchised if they continue to support genocide. Taking a pro-genocide stance like the DNC is a bad thing and should be punished.

And to all those who sputter, “it’s Biden/Harris paying Israel”, I say this: U.S. has been supporting Israel for 80 years and that includes the Trump administration.

Correct. Death to America, the world will not be free from the tyranny of the American Empire until it collapses. amerikkka

I can only express my hatred for you and every genocidal liberal worm through this song

I hope it stays dark forever

I hope the worst isn’t over

I hope that you blink before I do

And I hope I never get sober

And I hope when you think of me years down the line you can’t find one good thing to say

And I hope that if I had the strength to walk out you’d stay the hell out of my way

      I am drowning

There is no sign of land

You are coming down with me

      Hand in unlovable hand

      And I hope you die

      I hope we both die
